The Impact on Teeth Whitening: Getting a whiter smile after COVID-19

COVID-19 brought chaos to all of our lives. We have not only been stuck at home isolating, not working, unable to do any of usual activities, but we didn’t realize how much we would miss the little basic grooming aspects that we took for granted before. Hair appointments, nail appointments, facials, massages, therapy, all have been put on hold. And the one that is my own personal favourite – tooth whitening, has been requested the most.

Teeth whitening is a common procedure… pre-COVID. Many patients ask for it because it helps improve their smile, raise their confidence, and create a greater sense of well-being.

As we await the instructions of the Ministry of Health and our own governing body, we are unable to provide teeth whitening procedures in our office . Despite the fact that teeth whitening does not produce the level of aerosol that other dental procedures do, it is still being put on hold since it’s considered “elective” and it may be some time before we can deliver it again.

Our office is working on developing various ways to bring teeth whitening procedure back as soon as we can open our doors again. If you want to find out more about how to get your teeth whitened asap, email me at agatha@smilesbybis.com and I will contact you as soon as we learn more from the Ministry of Health and can incorporate this service back for all our patients looking to come out of this better and stronger than ever.
