Emergency dental visits can feel overwhelming. At our office, our approach is calm and patient-centered. Our dental team will assess the concern, explain the findings, and discuss the recommended next steps.
Until You Can See Us
- Toothache: rinse with warm water, floss gently around the tooth, and take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed on the package. Do not put aspirin on the gum.
- Broken or chipped tooth: save any pieces, rinse your mouth, and use a cold compress for swelling.
- Knocked-out adult tooth: hold it by the crown, not the root. If it is clean, place it back in the socket; otherwise keep it in milk. See a dentist within 30 to 60 minutes.
- Lost filling or crown: keep the crown and bring it with you. Avoid chewing on that side.
- Swelling: use a cold compress and call us. If swelling spreads toward the eye or neck, or you have trouble breathing or swallowing, go to a hospital emergency department.
